The last six weeks I've been consumed with weddings...two of my girls decided to get married within a 3-month time span of each other, and both of them gave us only four months notice. It's a conspiracy!
Mikelle and Michael were married last week in a lovely ceremony in the north Georgia mountains. Two weeks of company, airport trips, making gift bags and favors ended in a fabulous weekend of wedding festivities.
Becky is next. Her marriage to Rick is in June and we're well on the way with the arrangements, even if it there are moments when it feels like there is so much left to be done.
Here are two quick pictures that Becky shot (the wedding photos are not back from the photographer yet).
Are they an adorable couple, or what?
And this is the most adorable flower girl ever -- my Smooshy girl. She was so fascinated with the Stampin' Up! ribbon on her basket she forgot to throw the rose petals. It was a big job for a two-and-a-half-year-old, and she was just precious.
I'll be sharing some of the crafty items I made for Mikelle's wedding later this week -- invitations, thank you cards, favors, and more. I have much to catch up on and I know there are going to be some pretty big announcements tomorrow, so be sure to check out my blog Thursday to see what the big stampin' news is.

The designer who created the Stampin' Up! pop up dies is Karen Buniston. Karen has graciously shared some templates and video tutuorials to take your use of the pop up dies up several notches.
The Pop-Up dies were introduced in the Spring Catalog, just a few weeks ago.
The Card Base Pop 'n Cuts die (#130099) is magnetic, so you can insert the magnetic Pop 'n Cuts Dress Form Die inside this base to cut a fun pop-up card. The base measures 4-1/4" x 11".
The Pop n'n Cuts Dress Form Die (#130100) is 3-1/4" x 4-5/16".
Then there's the All Dressed Up stamp set (Wood #129171; Clear #129174).
And you can easily cut out the stamped dress image from this set using the Dress Up Framelits Die (#130101). The largest design is 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" (3 dies).

My daughter went to college in New Orleans and my son-in-law is from that great city. They live in Washington, D.C. now, but that doesn't stop them from celebrating Mardi Gras in grand fashion.
Laissez les bon temp roulez means "Let the good times roll." And roll they did this past weekend!
We dined on red beans and rice, jambalaya and corn crab bisque. We drank Hurricanes. We danced to the rhythms of New Orleans jazz and then we drank more Hurricanes. In between, we tried to see who could best pronounce Tchoupitoulas street. Strangely enough, the winners were the people who drank the most Hurricanes.
There were green, purple and gold beads everywhere. And not one, but two King cakes.
It was the Big Easy transported to D.C.
May your Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) be terrific!

Each "Best of" set also includes a never-before-seen image. A new "Best of" stamp set will be released every month in 2013. All "Best of" sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

So just how were these cute notes created? First, the envelopes.
Cut your paper into 6" x 6" squares.
Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, score all sides at 2-3/4" (gray lines).
Cut out the triangles where the score lines meet (the grayed-out portion on each side of the paper).
Round all four corners.
Cut out doily hearts from the More Amore Specialty DSP, then emboss the “Love you much” image on the hearts using Versamark ink, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, and the Heat Tool.
Tie the hearts onto your envelopes (after placing your note inside).
To create the notes, cut a 3-1/2" square from Watercolor Paper.
Use a Pool Party ink refill to watercolor a square in the middle. Next, stamp the “love” image in Versamark ink, then emboss it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.
