Ikat is an Indonesian dyeing technique that resembles tie-dye. The word comes from the Indonesian mengikat, meaning “to dye” although the technique has been used in many countries, from Guatemala to India.
Traditionally, Ikat pieces are symbols of status, wealth, power and prestige.
Stampin’ Up!’s latest polymer set, Eye-Catching Ikat #134624 brings this time-honored fabric technique to the paper arts. It’s a great way to mix and match pattern and color since you can easily see through the artwork and adjust the shapes however you want.
The set is made up of various geometric shapes and lines.
The Hello There card below uses Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate and Paciific Point inks.
At only $13.95, the Eye-Catching Ikat stamp set is an affordable way to bring pattern into your creative journey. Order it now at my website.
