Stampin' Up! has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities since 2003, offering a specially-designed stamp set every year and designating $3 from the sale of each stamp set to RMHC. But that's not all… demonstrators donate cards at every corporate training event for RMHC house residents to use, and many demonstrators provide stamping activities for adults and children across the country while they are staying in the Ronald McDonald houses.
In addition, Stampin' Up! has donated $1.1 million to the September 11th Disaster Relief Fund, $82,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for breast cancer research, $575,000 to Save the Children to support the Asian tsunami disaster relief effort, as well as substantial funds for the fight against heart disease, and to help those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
It's quite a record. In this 25th Anniversary Year, Stampin' Up! has started its year by taking service to an even higher level.
A highlight of the recent Leadership conference was a service project. Staff and demonstrators joined forces to stuff 2,000 bags full of fun Stampin’ Up! product. Those bags (with $325 worth of art supplies) were delivered to elementary school teachers in the Orlando area.
Stampin' Up!'s mission statement, called the Statement of the Heart, reads: "To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference."
It does make a difference and we do love what we do!
You can help us make a difference. Purchase this year's set, Moving Forward (Wood #126320; Clear #126322), and know that $3 will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities for each set purchased.
