How To Make A Valentine Flag Banner

What are your favorite Valentine's Day colors? Perhaps Real Red and Pink Pirouette? Maybe paired with Chocolate Chip, Basic Black or Espresso?

Well, hold on…what would you think about putting together the pale tones of Pool Party, mixed with vibrant Primrose Petals, sophisticated Very Vanilla, and vintage Old Olive?

That's what Jen picked to pair up with First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper for a fabulous Valentine flag banner. Jen is a concept artist with Stampin' Up!

Here's the project, in her own words…

"The base for each flag was cut from First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper. I cut each flag down to 4" x 6". I was able to get six flags from each sheet. Using a scrap piece of cardstock, I made a 4" x 6" flag pattern to cut the bottom of my flags.

Once they were all cut, I added hearts to each flag using the Heart Framelits Dies and the Full Heart Punch.

I layered my pieces using Stampin’ Dimensionals, to give my banner some added depth. I finished them off with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons.

I love the look of stitching on a project, so I stitched all of the flags together. If you don’t have access to a sewing machine, the flags could all be hung on Baker’s Twine or Linen Thread."

Thank you, Jen, it's a great project!
