Hot Weather Solution

Baby, it is HOT outside!

How hot is it? Check out this scene...

With record-breaking temperatures in Atlanta -- a high of 106, yikes! -- I'm looking for any way to stay cool.

So my mind, naturally, turns to Christmas.

This Christmas card leads me to thoughts of chilly nights, candy canes and snowflakes. I feel so much cooler already!

Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine: Easy Rosettes

Have you ever attempted to cut, score and assemble a rosette by hand?

Yeah...endless scoring, cramped fingers and an hour or two I'll never get back.

Enter Stampin' Up!s Designer Rosette Bigz XL die (#125594) for the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. Now we have an easy and guaranteed-to-work tool for producing gorgeous rosettes!

This die and your Big Shot do the cutting and scoring for you. The Designer Rosette die features two different edges so you can create rosettes your way. The spacing between each fold is 1/2" and you can cut rosettes up to 10" in diameter.

Card In A Hurry: Happy Anniversary

What to do when you need a card in a hurry?

Plan A: Look through your "stash" -- surely there's a card I can use?!!!!

Hmmm...that's a no go for Plan A.

Plan B: Jump into My Digital Studio.

The focal piece for this card was created in My Digital Studio, printed out and mounted on a Basic Black base with a piece of Baja Breeze card stock at the bottom. Add a ribbon, pearls and sweet little bow and voilá -- a hybrid card done in under 10 minutes.

My favorite add-on is the pearl as the dot of the "i" in "cherish."

How could it be only 10 minutes? I CASED the focal piece from a post by Susan Erickson at www.mydigitalstudio.net -- a great site to browse when you're looking for inspiration. It took me only a couple of minutes to reconstruct the focal piece and then I was off and running.
