I just cannot leave this peacock alone!
Tomorrow –I promise — something different.
This card started out with the peacock from World Treasures (Wood #126765; Clear #126767) embossed in silver on a piece of Midnight Muse card stock. I used an Aqua Painter filled with bleach to paint in the area around the peacock's body. I just love the way the Midnight Muse bleaches out to shades of yellow and green.
A couple of tips when working with bleach...First, make sure the bleach is fresh. There's a reason that bleach comes in light-proof containers–it loses its strength in the light. The barrel of the aqua painter is transparent, so the bleach is exposed to light and just wimps out after a day or so.
Second, reserve one Aqua Painter just for bleach use. You could wrap electrical tape around the barrel to lengthen the time the bleach is active.
I used the Labels Framelits to cut both shapes and the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder on the larger one.
It was a breeze to get the three brads lined up perfectly evenly with this template.
The other two templates have even more fun shapes on them:
