Happy Mother’s Day 2012

When my children were young, they asked why there was a Mother's Day and not a Children's Day.FifthAvenue4

I'm sure y'all can guess my answer…EVERY DAY is children's day!

Now that my kids are grown (mostly) I get to enjoy Mother's Day through their eyes. One of my daughters is a mom herself; all of my girls make me feel valued and appreciated. We have a contest of sorts each year — the Mother's Day card that makes me cry is the winner.

Now, understand that it's not difficult to win this contest. :-)

I'm a pushover when it comes to mushy sentiments handwritten by my girls. This year I boo-hooed over two cards.

I do LOVE handmade cards. I love the handwritten sentiments even more.

Hope your Mother's Day was as wonderful a mine!

This card was created with a retiring stamp set called Fifth Avenue Floral, item #113734.
