Look at this cutie patootie!
We had a first-day-of-school tradition at our house in Gwinnett county, Georgia. Once the kids were dressed and ready for their first day back at school, I took a photo of them on our front step. Those pictures are some of my most treasured for it chronicles their growth year by year. (It's also fun to use them to tease my now grown daughters — my oldest still asks "What were you thinking?" when she sees the fifth grade photo with her hair permed in a mass of tight curls. So 1908s!)
You could start your own tradition using the Decor Elements Growth Chart…I know you have kids or grandkids who are every bit as adorable as this blond beauty!

Here's another clever use of this chart, particularly if you sew or quilt.
Lisa Clark went beyond the traditional in creating a ruler for her craft room. She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter.
She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more. And she still has the pot, tree and bird images to use elsewhere in her home.
This is one idea that really "measures up!"
Remember the Growth Chart is only available through September 30. Don't miss it!
