I'm having a little trouble adjusting to normal life since arriving home from Stampin' Up!'s annual convention in Salt Lake City…I miss my 3,000 BFFs!
Here's another of the swap cards I took to convention:
This card is 3 x 6 inches finished and folded. It fits into our Open End envelopes (item #107286, $7.50 for a package of 20).
The butterfly is simply two punch outs from the Butterfly punch (item #116629). The ribbon is 1/2" Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon in Melon Mambo, a hot new color from our In Color collection. It's a deal at only $9.95 for 15 yards (item #115611).
The stamp set is Herb Expressions, and it's such a versatile set! I can't wait to try it out on tiles and jewelry for Christmas gifts. You can find this stamp set on page 55 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. Or skip on over to my website and click on the Shop Now button. Enter the item number or name in the search field to see the set up close and personal.
The Melon Mambo card stock is teamed with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla on this sample, and inks used are also Melon Mambo and Chocolate Chip. I added dots to the butterfly using my white uni-ball Signo gel pen, item #105021. This is one pen that is always tucked into my "go" kit.
My thanks to Sandi MacIver for the inspiration for this card. It was a hit at convention and with my stamp clubs last month.
If you'd like directions for this type of card, make sure you are signed up for my newsletter. I'll be sharing the directions in this week's edition. There's a signup box in the upper left of this very page.
Stay tuned — I'll have more Convention shares tonight.
