The Wonder of Wonderful

Using the set Wonderful You caused me to reflect on the word, "wonderful."

An overused word some might say. What in your life is FULl of WONDER?

Our trip to Italy was WONDERFUL. My neighbor Sherry considers her new born daughter WONDERFUL (and so do I!). My friend, Peggy, is new to stamping and thinks everything about creating cards is WONDERFUL.

In honor of all that is wonderful in all of our lives…here's a card using the Wonderful You set, item #111181.

WonderfulYou

The base of the card is Basic Black, with a layer of Tango Tangerine on top of Riding Hood Red.

I made the background by rolling the Stems & Silhouettes jumbo wheel in Versamark and setting the glossy paper aside to dry for a bit. Then I sponged on color, using Tango Tangerine and Riding Hood Red — both are yummy new In Color inks.

The leaves and flowers were stamped in Black Stazon.

Did you notice the filigree brad? What a fun embellishment!

The "wonderful you" sentiment is stamped in Riding Hood Red, punched out with the large oval punch, then layered on another piece punched out with the new wide oval punch.

It's also wonderful that you can now order online at my Stampin' Up! website. Just click here to go to my home page and click on the "Shop Now" button under my contact info…how wonderful YOU are!
