While I'm not deluding myself that cards and scrapbook pages measure up to the likes of Vincent Van Gogh, I am struck by his color palette as seen at www.colourlovers.com.
This painting is Starry Night. Even if you don't haunt art museums, you may remember this painting from one of my favorite romantic movies, Notting Hill. (Starring Hugh Grant…sigh.)

The palette Van Gogh used here looks to me like Basic Black, Bordering Blue, Not Quite Navy, Night of Navy and Summer Sun. This is definitely not a palette I would come up with on my own!
