Like most moms, I cooked for what felt like days. LOL! We had a quiet few days, and while two of our daughters were unable to make it home for Thanksgiving, we were blessed with Mikelle and Savino’s company. Everyone will be here at Christmas, so I’m grateful for that.
Today was the first day I was able to get my hands on stamps and paper. I had a delivery arrive at the beginning of the week, and I’ve been itchin’ to play.
This sample is one I’ve made for a Shoebox Swap at my pal Theresa’s house tomorrow. We’ve got nearly 20 demonstrators getting together to make projects. What fun!
When I opened up the Le Jardin Designer Paper package, I fell hard for the color combinations and the elegance of the designs. The base card on this sample is Soft Sky, and the panels behind the designer paper are So Saffron and Always Artichoke. I used a background stamp — French Flair — to lay down some swirls of Soft Sky ink, and stamped the bird from the Carte Postale stamp set…just because I adore that little bird!
I punched out a scallop circle from another piece of the Le Jardin papers, and punched a scallop in the front of my card. The "Rr" and "re-mem-ber" are stamped on a circle of Very Vanilla edged with So Saffron ink. I mounted that on the inside of the card with a big pop up dot.
On the inside of the card I stamped the Remember definition from the Define Your Life stamp set. Have you had a good look at this set? What a terrific resource this is — and it pairs perfectly with the Defining Alphabet set.
Remember that there are only a few days left to order on the Pick A Pack of Pretty Papers promotion. Choose one free package of Designer Paper for every three packages you buy — a $9.95 value! But hurry…I must receive your order by phone or email by midnight on November 29th. Don’t miss a terrific buy on these luscious papers!
